About Us

Our story

Our church exists to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a way that sinful and broken people not only believe it’s true, but a message that they feel deep in their heart, soul and body. Our aim is that this message is getting out to those in our community who feel their need most acutely; the unchurched, the dechurched and “those broken by the church.”

We are a gathering of folks in the Central Tucson area who are in the earliest days of proclaiming the good news of Jesus as an Anglican Church plant.

Like many in Tucson, we have very different stories and values, but when we gather as an aspiring church, we gather around these core truths: weakness, grace and vocation.

Our values

Weakness, because we need a place where we can be honest about who we are and seek mercy and healing, trusting that such a place is where the Holy Spirit meets us.

Grace, because God’s grace is certain—and central—in everything we do and are. God’s grace in Jesus Christ is the church’s strong foundation and our central message.

Vocation, because when all is accomplished in Jesus; when all striving has ceased and we are unconditionally embraced, the only thing left to do is love our neighbors, in new, bold, and even risky ways.

If these values resonate with you, we warmly invite you to “come and see!”

Our beliefs

When it comes to what we believe, we are a Catholic, Reformed and Spirit-led church.

We are Catholic, because we confess the historic creeds of the church; the Apostles’, Nicene and Athanasian Creeds.

We are Reformed, because we hold to the 39 Articles of Religion – the historic Anglican confession of faith that was born from the biblical truths that were being rediscovered during the time of the Reformation.

We are Spirit-led, in the sense that we value and recognize the work of the  Holy Spirit in building up a global church, and therefore we hold to the Jerusalem Declaration of 2008 as outlining our faith and practice on key matters and as providing the way forward for a global Anglican Communion.
